Planning/Inventory Analyst

Due to expansion, an excellent global FMCG business with world famous brands is seeking a Planning / Inventory Analyst to join their team. Excellent opportunity for advancement within a proactive environment.

Location: Dublin, Kildare

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead planning and inventory
  • Demonstrates the insight, communication and flexibility required to drive improvements in all areas of planning and inventory management
  • Engage effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Support the demand planning team
  • Proactively engage with the demand/supply planning teams, by acting as the production champion for new products and product phase-out/rundown to minimise delays and write-offs
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure new product projects are on target, systems are correctly updated and corrective action is taken when necessary
  • To be competent in the preparation of budgets for the Production function
  • Manage slow and obsolete stock and develop action plans to minimise write-offs
  • To have a deep understanding of MPS/MRP planning systems to ensure the SAP planning system is aligned with demand planning so as to optimise supply planning
  • Work closely with demand planning, purchasing and materials management
  • Identify and generate opportunities for improvements
  • To be a strong active member on projects as they arise
  • Backup support for the Planning team
  • To help deliver the mission, goals and key metrics for the Purchasing, Planning & Inventory team

Key skills and experience required:

  • Ideally 3rd Level Degree in relevant discipline (Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Business)
  • CPIM qualification is desirable
  • Proven experience in a similar role - minimum 3 years
  • Coming from a full integrated business planning environment would be a distinct advantage
  • In-depth working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP ECC/APO an advantage)
  • Strong multi-tasker with strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Brings value creation to the business, the teams they work with and their role
  • Strong analytical and numeric ability
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates and encourages a strong work ethic
  • Team player with strong motivational/influencing skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including advanced excel
  • Flexible and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
