HR Manager

I have an outstanding opportunity for a Strategic HR Manager to join an expanding Global Food Business on a permanent, full-time basis.

Sitting within the Senior Leadership Team, the HR Manager will drive the HR agenda at a strategic level, in the new world of HR. Employee wellbeing and culture come first.

In place is a very experienced HR team (with a much lower than average HR-to-employee ratio), a highly engaged workforce with excellent retention and a wonderful working culture.

The ideal candidate will be driven, agile and approachable, with excellent commercial acumen. They will be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with all levels of employees company wide. A background in manufacturing is preferred.

An extremely competitive salary and benefits package is on offer to the successful candidate. This role will suit candidates in North Dublin, Meath and Louth.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business needs, such as recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, recognition & reward, management development and organisational change.
  • Contribute to and support the delivery of the HR strategy in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Group & Regional HR teams to establish and implement global HR initiatives locally.
  • Work closely with both the Financial Director & Managing Director to oversee remuneration and benefits within the business.
  • Manage the day to day HR operations and lead, coach and develop the HR team.
  • Oversee the positive employee journey in the organisation and develop a culture of positive engagement.
  • Champion Employee Wellbeing; support and continually develop initiatives to support the accreditation of IBEC’s KeepWell Mark.
  • Continually develop and oversee performance management to support a high-performance culture.
  • Engage in succession and workforce planning, from attracting talent, to successful on-boarding and retention whilst promoting a great culture and workplace.
  • Provide the business with an appropriate/legally compliant framework of HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise, guide, and support managers and employees in all matters in accordance with company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with management teams to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organisational and people performance in line with business needs.
  • Measure all HR costs and control expenditure against agreed budgets.
  • Maintain responsibility for staff welfare, facilities & amenities.

Qualification, skills & experience required:

  • A minimum of a Degree in HR or related discipline.
  • Experience within the FMCG/Food industry preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years' HR Management experience.
  • Experienced in proactively partnering with managers to progress the people agenda.
  • Motivated and capable of working on own initiative across a wide range of HR areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Experience in multinational, diverse environments is important.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering innovative and proactive HR solutions that are focussed on meeting business objectives.
  • Excellent understanding of HR best practice and ability to apply this to employee relations and industrial relations situations.
  • Payroll experience is an advantage.
