Operations Finance Business Partner

This position, in an extremely successful food business in Louth, will provide finance support to the full range of business operations (Middle Office) functions and will report Head of Operations Finance.

This is a full time, permanent position. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work as Finance point of contact with all business operations functions (Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical, IT, Production Sites, Warehouse and Logistics Team)
  • Maintain effective monthly ‘Middle Office’ reporting framework, preparing monthly operational reporting
  • Ensure the integrity of the business cost reporting model is maintained and where possible enhanced
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the IT system in place which underpins the business and drives business performance reporting
  • Drive the preparation of accurate annual budgets and forecasts for the Middle Office function
  • Support and work with Supply Chain team to complete monthly review of Business Inventory
  • Support the Procurement team in Supplier engagements and provide accurate business view on expected future cost base movements etc.
  • Support and review Production/Warehouse/Logistics and Technical operations to ensure efficiencies are maximised & costs are effectively tracked and controlled
  • Become key point of contact with IT in the delivery of business reporting/other operational improvements
  • Work On/Lead Ad Hoc Business Transformation / Optimisation Projects as they arise

Education & Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with a minimum 3 years post-qualified experience
  • Prior experience in an Operations Finance role within an FMCG environment and with detailed exposure to Production/Warehouse/Logistics activities would be a distinct advantage
  • Previous Food Industry experience is an advantage (production sites)
  • Experience dealing with large volume of SKUs
  • Middle office experience (warehouse, production, supply chain) not front office (commercial)
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to pitch presentations at varying levels
  • Excellent computing skills in particular MS Excel/PowerPoint
  • Excellent data analysis and numeric skills are must
  • An energised person who can bring people with them!
