Production Supervisor

My client, an award winning fresh produce provider, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The business’ state of the art facility is located in Meath, within a commutable distance from North Dublin, Louth, Carrickmacross, Bailieborough and surrounding areas.

The is an excellent opportunity for an individual who would like to work in a dynamic and evolving environment offering opportunities for development and progression.

Please note: this role is 2pm - 10pm and flexibility is required for busy periods.

Responsibilities:

• With the assistance of the Warehouse Manager, lead on the day to day running of the shift through a number of production operators, ensuring Production, Safety and Quality KPIs are achieved.
• Manage and prioritise production activities to meet customer demands, helping to build a proactive production team.
• Take an active part in problem solving production and process issues.
• Support the delivery of high quality products, working closely with all internal teams in delivering business results.
• Drive continuous improvement and encourage this continuous improvement culture with all staff on the shift.
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed to meet company requirements and that relevant systems (H&S, GMP, ERP and Traceability) are maintained.
• Reduce labour/overtime costs by carefully planning schedules and communicating plans to staff in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ Production Supervisory experience, ideally coming from the Food/FMCG industry.
• Experience operating forklifts/pallet trucks essential.
• ERP systems experience an advantage.
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly motivated & energetic, with a can-do attitude.
